Job Description Role: Platform Engineer plays pivotal role in making new Android stack from SOC vendors and Google available for entire Platform development community. Takes part in Major and Minor migrations of Android Sources from SOC Vendors and Google, Also takes part in Hardware bring ups and additions as and when new Programs derive from Platform. Responsibilities: . Working with SOC Vendors in consuming latest Android Source code. Working with multiple development teams to resolve the issues during Android Stack upgradations. . Owning Issues, across layers/domains, and driving them to closure during Android stack upgradations. . Take Part in defining or refining Platform Integration and branching strategies. . Enforce Platform Processes for Platform deliverables. . Ensuring code quality with thorough reviews and with strict process adherence. Skills Required: . 5-8 years of the overall experience. . 2 to 3 Years of experience in development of Android IVI development. . 2 to 3 years of Experience in debugging Android Framework Issues. . Expertise in one/more programing languages C, C++, Java/Kotlin in Android context. . Having Strong knowledge on Linux Kernel, device drivers and Android HALs. . Role mandates strong collaborative (Inter Personal, Persuasive) skills. . Knowledge of Version Control Systems (Git/Gerrit).
