This role requires strong software development skills across a variety of potential platforms and frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled learner, capable of adapting to modern advancements of software tools and frameworks, and motivated to build new, high-quality software. Responsibilities : Develop and potentially maintain modern software system features and related capabilities. Interact with customers and partners to scope and estimate user stories from acceptance criteria. Produce highly testable code with an emphasis on quality and correctness. Work alongside other engineers to improve software technology, while consistently applying established effective software development practices. Attend regular project meetings, report on progress and setbacks, and drive participation in estimation, planning, and retrospective exercises. Required Qualifications : 7+ years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. Hands-on experience developing solutions using Azure. Experience in Python and at least one other major programming language such as C# or Java. Emphasis on data, including NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy. Knowledge and experience with SQL and DAX Knowledge and experience with code coverage, unit/integration tests, TDD and CI/CD concepts Knowledge and experience with version control systems, e.g., git, SVN, TFVC Knowledge and experience with software engineering life cycle and best practices Knowledge and experience with Scrum software development methodologies Knowledge and experience with driving design and architectural discussions Understanding of virtualization, hypervisors, and containerization. Experience leading team of engineers including managing status and ADO tasks Ability to document technical design and approach of software produced Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to communicate with nontechnical members Preferred Qualifications : Experience in building scalable distributed systems. Experience in mentoring or leading small SDE teams. Education and Certifications : BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline is required.
