About the Role This role is an important contributor to accounting team and is a structured partner for larger sales, service and support functions. A successful candidate is a self motivated individual with excellent knowledge of accounting and is keen to develop and deploy good processes around each of accounting and finance area. She/He is also important contributor to ensuring that Sciex India adheres to all important internal and external compliance requirements. This role has a potential to enhance into a larger controlling role with entire financial accounting and reporting being entrusted to this person in future. The role is broad and touches important organizational areas. You will be part of the larger EMEA Finance team and you will work closely together with the other team members and functions in wider EMEA and India Finance organization. You are a naturally strong team player who takes full ownership of the work, focusing on impact through tangible results. Responsibilities Managing accounting operations by leading a team of associates with midterm focus on Procure to Pay process. Collaborate closely with India Sales, Service & Customer Service departments for ensuring related finance operations are smoothly carried out. In the longer term, focus gets broadened and will include handling of Order to Cash and Procure to Pay operations. Midterm focus on Payroll and related accounting along actuarial accounting setup and funding arrangements of retirals etc. Timely and accurate completion of month end close tasks, reporting and analysis of commercial and financial data. Balance Sheet hygiene with particular emphasis on preparation of monthly schedules and reconciliations Harmonization Sciex India accounting policies and processes with larger Sciex Global Accounting policies and processes. Contributing to Statutory Financial Preparation and Audit. Handling of Internal Audit, Tax Audit & Balance Sheet Reviews Indirect & Direct Tax related compliances related to Procure to Pay process and other operations areas. Withholding tax related compliances along with related filings with various government departments. Actively support and initiate continuous improvement ideas and roll out procedural changes within your area of responsibility and ensure compliance by adhering to internal control requirements. Experience/ Education Candidate needs to be Chartered Accountant Minimum 7 + years of experience in Accounting and Controlling Results, facts and figures oriented, accurate and fast learner. Ability to analyses multiple sources of data, make connections, and create high quality solutions by using DBS tools (Danaher Business System) Strong communication and writing skills A good mix of individual contributor and people manager Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail Fluent in English Excellent MS Excel knowledge. Oracle, PBI and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) will be added advantage.
