Inviting applications for the role of AVP, Guidewire Lead Architect
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for overall designing and implementing overall architecture of a Guidewire Suite implementation. You will work as an ‘uber architect’ on Guidewire Pre-Sales, Solutions, and end to end Implementations. You will work with a broad Sales and Solutions team, external partners, and client IT / architecture and business teams to develop all aspects of a Guidewire ecosystem solution. You will also work on developing market leading solutions, accelerators, methodologies, and frameworks and be responsible for architecting and implementing Genpact’s Guidewire Cloud Ecosystem.

BE/B Tech/MCA
Relevant year(s) of experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
P&C Insurance experience
Agile Development Experience
Scrum Master certification will be nice to have
Certified in Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter
Preferred experience and qualifications
Knowledge of P&C Insurance domain (Policy, Claims, and Billing applications as per product requirements)
Strong and broad experience in pre-sales, solutioning and implementation of Guidewire Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, DataHub, Digital Portal etc) for Insurance carriers
Experience implementing Guidewire Suite in cloud and / or upgrading Guidewire Suite from On-prem to cloud
Broad experience as an architect in the Insurance domain that includes experience architecting core systems, cloud strategy and implementation (AWS, Azure), CRM (e.g. Salesforce), AI/ML/NLP, self service solutions (e.g. portals, mobile development), peripheral solutions (e.g. document production and management, workflow, rating engines etc), microservices and ESB architecture, data and canonical models, legacy modernization, analytics and data engineering
Prior experience managing large and global dev teams of 30+ resources
Experience working with Business SME’s and Business Analysts to articulate Guidewire integration framework, features, and capabilities, assist with defining requirements
Experience developing reusable frameworks leveraging micro services architecture and industry standard integration patterns, knowledge and hands-on experience working with Java or GOSU programming, J2EE, Application Servers, XML/Web Services/ RDBMS
Experience working on middleware platforms like Websphere ESB, MuleSoft, Webmethods or a similar software platform and designing and implementing integration modules that can be reused, ensuring loose coupling as well as easy scalability of various systems and its components
Ability to drive scope sizing and estimation, clearly articulate optimal and alternative solutions and conduct fit-gap analysis
Strong experience working with a cross disciplinary team of business / functional SME’s, architects, Guidewire SME’s, External Partners, legal and finance to respond to RFP’s, develop proactive proposals, develop business and technology architecture, transformation roadmap, estimates and pricing
Experience building and implementing Guidewire methodologies, best practices, accelerators, developing reusable frameworks leveraging micro services architecture and industry standard integration patterns
Experience developing Guidewire integration solutions and accelerators with InsurTechs, external service providers and third-party data sources (e.g. Mitchell, CCC, ISO, Lexis Nexis, Metro, Payment Gateways etc) and peripheral systems (e.g. Rating Engines, CRM, Document Management, Document Production etc)
Knowledge and hands-on experience working with Java or GOSU programming, J2EE, Application Servers, XML/Web Services/ RDBMS and middleware platforms (e.g. Websphere ESB, MuleSoft, Webmethods)
